MEKONG 4 DAYS TOUR

( HO CHI MINH – MY THO – CAN THO – CHAU DOC – CHAM VILLAGE – TRA SU CAJUPUT JUNGLE – CAM MOUTAIN – HO CHI MINH )

 

DAY 1 : HCM – MY THO CITY – CAN THO

8:00AM Departing from your hotel for My Tho city by air-conditioned bus. In My Tho, boarding the motorboat at a pier and cruising on the Mekong River. Here, overlooking floating houses where fishes are farmed beneath the house (viewing from the motorboat).

Continuing the journey on the river until reaching Cồn Thới Sơn (Unicorn Island), from here taking a horse cart to reach a performance site where Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử - A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) can be heard and seasonal tropical fruit can be tasted (included).

Afterward, being on a small hand-rowing boat (the main mean of transportation in My Tho & Ben Tre) and slowly cruising through a small creek with beautiful overhanging coconut trees. Lives from both sides of the creek can be observed.

Before heading to lunch, passing through bee-keeping farm and enjoying honey tea, a typical Mekong house can be viewed here. Then, it is lunch time after a short walk.

After lunch, boarding the motorboat and heading to learn coconut candies making process from a workshop. Sample of candies can be tasted.

03:00PM Returning back to bus and going to CAN THO CITY.

DAY 2 : CAN THO – FLOATING MARKET – CHAU DOC – CHAM VILLAGE

Taking a boat trip to discover the beauty of CAI RANG floating market where local people sell, buy and exchange goods on their boats. Then, going on to a local village and visiting a local workshop, there are things to see such as HU TIEU FACTORY and FRUIT GARDEN. and discovering daily activities of local people. After all transfer to CHAU DOC to visit CHAM VILLAGE ( Cham Village is a hamlet with a large number of Cham ethnic groups living, just one river from Chau Doc.  With a distance of 5km by road (it takes more than 20 minutes to travel) and 3.5km by river (it takes more than 15 minutes to travel) if starting from Chau Doc city center )

DAY 3 : CHAU DOC – TRA SU CAJUPUT JUNGLE – CAM MOUTAIN

check out at the hotel then transfer to visit the most biggest cajuput  jungle in Vietnam. You can take speed boat to go through the jungle to discover the wild life of birds in the jungle. Having lunch at local restaurant before moving to CAM mountain

check in at the homestay then free-time

6:00 Dinner at homestay. Free time

Day 4 : CAM MOUTAIN  – HO CHI MINH

Tour guide will pick up then transfer back to ho chi minh city

Tour end in ho chi minh city

Around 9:00 AM Arriving at Cu Chi tunnels (Ben Dinh) and proceeding to an underground hut to watch a short video and presentation about Cu Chi tunnels before having a real hand-on experience of what it took to live in the tunnels.
